BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS OF DANIEL AVITAL
Daniel Avital was born in Morocco in 1955. He immigrated to Israel at the age of six months, a late addition to an extensive family with eleven brothers and sisters living in Israel. As a resident of the town of Acre he was educated at the town's junior and secondary schools.
He completed his army service with distinction as a combat soldier in the Golani Brigade.
After his release and a period of training he worked in chemical reactors and later as a work contractor.
At the end of 2000 he had physical problems, suffering a stroke and at the same time a cardiac incident which was life-endangering. On his first night in the hospital department, in the middle of the night he experienced biblical visions of the patriarchs – Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the leaders such as Saul, David and Solomon,
and in between he saw in his vision all the biblical colors such as purple, scarlet, light blue, and combination of colors, which was an integral part of the scenery.
His desire to draw and illustrate were too much for him. He then began laying the basis of each subject. Later
there came to him a picture of the scene, the levels, the characters and the colors according to the scripture. "I
know for certain that I have received the right to produce and give form to the main events of the Bible in 3D, for
this and future generations." Let us hope to witness the vision of the End of Days of Isaiah chapter 2. "And it shall come to pass in the end of days that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established as the top of the
mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills, and all nations shall flow unto it. And many peoples shall go up
to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob, and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. And He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples. And they shall beat their swords into plow-shares and
their spears into pruning-hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." May it be so.
Daniel has four children and eight grand-children.

MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES CHARACTERIZING THE ARTIST'S WORK
The artist Daniel Avital consistently used for his models materials which characterize the narrative content in the biblical stories as closely as possible to the written words.
Generally the materials are natural, such as: stone, marble, natural stone, liquid stone, pebbles, basalt, sand, burnt clay, mosaic stone, silver and gold, wood and glass.
The most important material is the thought and the imagination.
